Maidstone Guitar Club is ideal for beginners who can already play a few chords, and for more experienced players who want a motivating weekly session. Each 2-hour session focuses on learning and playing real songs as a group, developing technique, and building confidence without any pressure. It’s a welcoming space for adults who enjoy guitar and want to improve while being part of a friendly musical community.
Maidstone Guitar Club is a relaxed, weekly meet-up for adult guitarists who want to play music together in a fun and supportive environment.
Our sessions
Each week we work through real songs (chosen by the group) so everyone can develop their skills in a musical, hands-on way. Members also get the chance to perform within the group and take part in themed projects covering a variety of topics, from rhythm and strumming to lead playing and ensemble work. The aim is to keep sessions structured, purposeful, and fun, with plenty of opportunities to grow as a guitarist.
Where & When
Sessions run every Monday during term time (Jan-Mar, May-Jul; Sept-Dec) at our venue in Larkfield, from 18:15 to 20:15, giving members a full two hours of focused, enjoyable guitar playing.
Fees are payable in advance at the beginning of each term. Terms do vary in length. The cost of each 2-hour session is £9. Because the venue is booked in advance, all fees are non-refundable.
Please note: Maidstone Guitar Club isn’t suitable for absolute beginners — you do need to be able to play a few chords and hold your own in a group setting.

New Term Announcement – January to March 2026
The Maidstone Guitar Club is pleased to announce that the first term of 2026 will run from Monday 12th January to Monday 30th March 2026. Sessions will continue to focus on developing technique, musical confidence, and playing together in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Enrolment for the January term closes on Sunday 11th January 2026.
If you’re planning to join us this term, please ensure your place is confirmed by this date.
